We are looking for a full time Shop Director to oversee all aspects of our online shop.

The person who is right for this position has a keen eye for details, a passion for online commerce, and fantastic ideas for development of new products and services.

While perhaps not quite yet an expert, this person does have a solid grasp of marketing, promotions and sales, and a basic understanding of how an online shop works. This is a person dedicated to not only filling our shop with the right products that will fit our brand and serve our audience well, but also ensuring that the experience of every customer is top notch.

This position involves a combination of creativity, organization, sales, marketing, attention to detail, and follow-through, and it has high expectations. Of course, if you’re the person we are looking for, you’re the type who gets motivated by high expectations.

  • The main responsibility of the Shop Director is to ensure consistently strong sales and steady growth of our online shop through planning promotions, email campaigns, and new product development.
  • The Shop Director will work closely with our customer service department to make sure that every customer is well taken care of, and that the service and experience we provide is second to none.
  • The Shop Director is in charge of expanding and contracting the team as needed. (For example, during a big sale or promotion, you may need assistance with email, graphics, or tech support. It’ll be your job to find, direct and manage the team members you need.)
  • The Shop Director is in charge of working with the distribution center to manage inventory and to order more product when necessary, as well as to coordinate any customer service issues.  This may include travel to our distribution center in Arkansas on a regular basis.
  • The Shop Director works with other team members such as the customer service manager, chief strategy officer, copywriter, programmers, social media manager, graphic designer, etc. to make things happen.
  • The Shop Director reviews each product page to make sure it is accurate and up to date.
  • The Shop Director is responsible for implementing and overseeing an affiliate program.
  • The Shop Director is responsible for making sure their team members are focused and moving forward on the right task board item. 
  • The Shop Director will participate in regular team meetings.
  • The Shop Director is responsible for knowing if the work being delivered by the team is on brand and of appropriate quality.
  • The Shop Director will QC each product to ensure that it is ready to sell. And if it’s not, you will adjust accordingly.
  • The Shop Director is the control center for all things related to our online shop, from making sure every product page is up to date to optimizing the customer experience to planning promotions and helping to curate amazing products that fit our brand and our mission and will serve our audience well.

  • Already has a lot going on and doesn’t have the time and focus needed to do a quality job.
  • Isn’t interested in business strategy, growing, and learning.
  • Is not willing to sign a non-disclosure and non-compete agreement.
  • Wants to be front and center, rather than working in the background.
